Assault likely to rebound on Israel
By Tobias Buck in Jerusalem
"In the narrowest of senses, the bloody assault by Israeli naval commandos on a convoy of ships carrying aid to Gaza may count as a success for Israel: the "Free Gaza" flotilla was prevented from docking off the Gaza coast as planned, and Israel's long-running blockade of the embattled territory remains intact.
The consequences of Israel’s maritime raid, however, are dire – and certain to get worse. The primary casualties of the confrontation are without doubt the pro-Palestinian activists on board the six ships, at least ten of whom were killed by Israeli forces. In political and diplomatic terms, however, there is no doubt that Israel will be paying a high price for its night-time assault, in many capitals around the world and for many months to come."
How could this have happened?
On National Prayer Day did everyone just assume that everyone else was praying for peace and therefore nobody prayed for peace?
Or could it be that that everyone was too busy praying for gays?
We need to get to the bottom of this.

Charlie, it could be those praying were praying for it to get worse. Just listen to the nuts who pray for Israel to prevail (and become converted, like baptists etc.) and a world war will occur requiring Jesus to come down out of the sky and take the saved (fundamentalists of course) up in the sky to live for a thousand years in bliss. Many people know this is nonsense including my brother-in-law, but the ignorant professing this belief are absolutely sure it will happen. They will even forget gays and pray for it to happen. Just listen to the T.V. evangelists. They might even be able to convince guys like you and me. (Just kidding!)

I find one of the funniest, most ironic things to have transpired the last few years is the joining of Israelis and evangelicals! What part of the great calamity being wished on them (the israelis) by the evangelicals don't they get? Do the israelis think the evangelicals have reformed and no longer think they killed jesus? Pray for peace? The evangelicals? No way would they do that. It would ruin their plans for the destruction of all those "other" people.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch those evans on t.v. for entertainment. Hmmm. Not so funny lately.
CA gal
Cal gal, It is ironic, but these poor deluded people think they will actually convert these Jewish people to their fundamentalist religion. I once had a nice baptist lady invite one of my Jewish teachers ( I was the school principal)to have dinner with them (probably served pork) and tried to teach him about Jesus. He was a nice guy and thought it funny. This lady never had a clue as to what she had done.

Charlie, here is good news (tongue in cheek)! Brother Ted Haggard is back and this time he welcomes everyone including gays (duh). But there is more, even a democrat like me could attend. WOW!
ReplyDeleteSaint James Church
Press Conference Statement by Ted Haggard
Good morning everyone. Thank you so much for attending this morning.
Gayle and I and our children are here to announce the launching of St. James Church.
This Sunday at 10:00 AM, we will host a launch party here at our house to celebrate a new beginning, and you are welcome.
When we moved back to Colorado Springs two years ago, we had the dream of serving in a local church again. Now we believe the time is right.
This isn't just any church. It's a church for people like me, people who know that everyone needs a break at one time or another in their lives. And that none of us can reach the whole world, but we can make all the difference for at least one.
When I was at my lowest, others gave me a break. It's my dream to unite together with others who see the value in helping in a practical way.
It's also a church for people who want to invest their lives in others.
St. James Church is for anyone, and I do mean anyone: Democrats, Republicans, Independents and those who go to Tea Party rallies. If you are straight, gay, or bi, I want to walk through the Scriptures with you. If you are black, white Hispanic, native American, or a confusing combination, you are welcome here. Those working to overcome their sex or drug addictions, St. James is for you.
If you have a friend or family member who struggles, St. James is for you.
Charlie, take note, you can take along a friend or family member. CA gal, this includes you too! You can thank me later for my thoughtful consideration of sharing this with you.
