Actually, if you include hundreds or thousands of editors who played a part in crafting the 66 works in our bible, the number of writers would exceed 40 by hundreds. When pressed to explain contradictions, preachers will re-write the bible to make it consistent with their claim. Every time someone does that to me I remind them about the warning of "not adding to or taking from" the bible. It's a good catch all meaningless phrase that stops them.

Yep. "Speak where the bible speaks and remain silent where the bible is silent."
ReplyDeleteAnother useless phrase that rolls easily off the tongue and means nothing, since the bible itself is full of contradictions.
