  1. If Newt were to be elected, he would likely be impeached by the republicans. If Mitt is elected, he could could be impeached by the Tea Party. If Obama is elected, there likely won't be enough republicans around to do it. I like the idea of not having an impeachment.

  2. BRIBES, CHINESE MOB TIES ALLEGED AT CASINO OF GINGRICH MONEY MAN. This is the headlines for the day. First iT was Murdoch who now controls a third of the news available in the US and now this recent news. It says a lot for the Christian Right-wing republicans and their family values candidate. OH, WELL AS FAR AS WE KNOW HE HASN'T RAPED ANYBODY EXCEPTED THE TAXPAYERS. He's just a short walk from the next confessional booth to having all his sins forgiven. It may cost him a few bucks, but he will be washed free of his sins thanks to the blood of Jesus.

  3. Was it just me or were there other kids my age all those many years ago who felt really yucky about the idea of being washed in blood.

But you are right about Newt. If I were to join a religion I would probably prefer Catholicism. Money talks.

  4. We all know Catholics strong position on divorce. Like all other churches, their official position isn't the same as their practiced position. You once ask me the position of the church I attend. I think I surprised you by admitting (honesty always over-rides my church doctrine)that we don't practice what we preach. Divorced couples are accepted after the scandal has been accepted. If you are a prominent person with money, you can cover a lot of sins with money. Most churches pretty much follow that practice. Newt had no problem becoming Catholic nor would he with most other religions especially fundamentalists. Now about being washed in blood, I'm not sure religious folks have really thought about just what that implies. it's great mythology, but not a good literal concept. So much for taking the bible literally.

  5. Charlie, this is a deep philosophical question. IF NEWT PLANTS A COLONY OF REPUBLICANS ON THE LUNAR ROCK WE CALL THE MOON, AS CITIZENS WOULD THEY BE CALLED LUNATICS?

    1. Lunatics! Of course Moon...Luna..
But would they all disappear with the first Lunar eclipse?

  6. "REPUBLICANS" let me amend the word to Tea party republicans. I can't afford to offend the few republicans friends I might have, however Bob Dole probably wouldn't be offended.

  7. "But would they all disappear with the first Lunar eclipse?" That would be the answer to the traditional republicans' prayers. In this case, maybe God would answer prayers.
