SAVE THAT BLASTOCYST !

According to UNICEF 10.9 million children under the age of five die each year. 60 percent, or over 6 ½ million, die because they starve to death.

The Catholic bishops, who have filed a lawsuit against President Obama, tell us that God thinks it is a grievous sin to abort a blastocyst, a collection of cells that would fit comfortably inside the eye of a Roosevelt dime. 

According to their warped religion, it’s much better to allow the tiny blob of protoplasm to develop into a human.  Then let it slowly die from starvation by the age of five. (Which by the way they are doing at the rate of 21 per minute) This is pleasing to their celestial sky daddy who, being omniscient, knew in advance the misery it was destined for.

Slowly, slowly, the scourge of religion is dying out in this country.  In about 50 years, we will look back with astonishment that two thirds of our Supreme Court, supposedly some of our preeminent thinkers, actually believed that the body of a long dead religious zealot could be consumed in the form of a wafer. We will watch with astonishment and disgust, old videos of the charlatans in present day mega churches who have captured the minds of willing believers, just as we now express astonishment and disgust that so many Germans could have stood by and let the Holocaust happen because Hitler had captured their minds.

Polluting the minds of children before they have reached the age where they are capable of logic, reason and critical thinking needs to stop and it needs to stop now. This is only a slightly lesser evil than sexually abusing their bodies, a sin endemic in the Catholic Church.

We must learn to think for ourselves! 

We can start by considering this fact. If all atheist left the USA, we would lose 93% of the 2000+ members of the National Academy of Sciences but less than 1% of the prison population.
